The Town Walls

The Town Walls Trust, in conjunction with the Tabernacle Chapel, has undertaken a restoration project here.

Interesting features along the walls are:

THE LIME KILN

Lime kilns like this can be found all around the Pembrokeshire coast for lime was in much demand as fertilizer and for making mortar.

THE GUN TOWER OR DEFENDING TOWER

This tower is one of six flanking towers which gave coverage of the town walls against attackers.
